I was not highly motivated by Mutakddim I may come back to him later and write an article but for now he is on the back burner.
Lets take a look at a sire standing in NY, he was in Florida previously. Repent - Only raced as a two and three year old, had a habit of finishing second to some well known runners. Second in the Breeders Cup Juvy to Johannesburg, second in the Travers to Medaglia D'oro, second in the Illinios Derby to War Emblem.
He is early in his sud career, Louis Quatorze X Cipayo (ARG). The dam side is pretty solid stamina wise by lesser known sires. Louis Quatorze is from the Northern Dancer line but will be in the 4th generation of his offspring. So there is a world of dam sires that would cross without up close inbreeding.
Last year his top runner was Crown of Thorns who just missed in the Breeders Cup Sprint. This year he has a pretty salty three year old filly in Diva Delight who just won the G3 Florida Oaks. She is on a tear and might be a possible runner in this years Oaks. She has run 14 or 15 times already though. He produced 4yr old filly Sweet Repent who won the Sunshine Millions distaff ( restricted to CA or FL bred runners). So he has a few active runners that should continue to do well in real life this year.
In the sim he has some success his freshman year as most sim sires do. He produced a graded winner and another stakes winner. He had a stakes winner in his second sim crop but has not had any since. He does not get used much, 10 times a year. I think he is capable of producing nice runners.
I have used him once with some success. Slewpent
Of course with state bred racing he may be a little more attractive as a NY sire where his runners should compete well after all he is currently in real life on top of the NY sire list. What do you guys think? Have you bred to him, who would you breeding him with?
