Lets go with Mutakddim this time around. Share some thoughts or experiences with this sire. Have you used him before, what do you think of his prospects even as a dam sire maybe, who would you pair him with? www.bloodhorse.com/stallion-register/sr_sire_page.asp?refno=1322446&origin=singlesearchAbove is some info from the bloodhorse I do have an interesting story with him, at least I think it is interesting . Back in 2004 there was a contest going on with GSR I believe. We where breeding bargain runners and for some reason they where being transferred through the auction, I cannot remember the details but transferring unraced runners was not an option at the time. I do not fully remember but you bred one put it in a pool and then drew one out but anyway my first entry was a bargain by Mutakddim (Desert Wine X Knightly Dawn). Well the theory was no one would really bid high on bargains but someone bid like 500k on this one so he missed out on the contest. He did however go on to be a pretty salty runner still competitive today 6 years later. Internal Fire was stakes placed on dirt and turf earned a lot of money for a bargain along the way. Interestingly though the bargain I go back in that contest was Groove Master who was solid for me probably more so as a claimer but jumped up to win the first Bargain Bowl Mile.

I knew the name Mutakddim was familiar. I see from that link that he is the sire of Jazzy (Arg). She was imported to South Africa as a baby and raced here in her early years before heading to the USA.
Anyway, the obvious point that springs out of the page is that, of the 10 'current top performers worldwide' for Mutakddim, 4 are out of mares by Southern Halo.

Well here's some irony - at least at my desk I find it ironic. I was initially planning on breeding a Yonaguska but some wise guy in the sim had all ready decided to take his 3 year old breeding this week. Undeterred, I was off to find another elusive, potentially great sire within the sim archives. I happened upon Mutakddim (interesting how these bargain sires are near impossible to pronounce), and was intrigued. Why not - I asked myself - there are some nice bloodlines there. Noticing the Mr. P via Seeking the Gold I immediately started searching along the Hail to Reason lines (as Mr. P and HTR together have treated me fairly well). Coming from the Roberto side I found Shuailaan (another great one to try to pronounce) who also gave me a little Alydar to boot (and at 21 pts. on Saturday night - the right bargain price). To finish this future Bargain Bowl Beast (henceforth known as a B^3), I decided to go back to the Mr. P line with Fast Gold (48 pts. on Saturday). I'm normally not a fan of much inbreeding, but after seeing the women Kirby brings in by inbreeding Mr. Prospector all of the time - I figured I'd give it a shot. The newest creation, Mutak Too Fast, cost a whopping 98 pts. prior to the 1/2 for under 100 and extra 10 for returning a complete lack o' talent nag to the cpu. Total cost = 44 pts. Winning a Bargain Bowl event with a B^3 = priceless.
Feeling really good about my new discovery and anxiously awaiting it's future dominance so I can brag on the BBRS board, I noticed that Mutakddum is in fact, the current sire for Talking Bargains. Which basically proved to me yet again that I really know nothing - except for that Mr. P inbreeding = hot women (I'm pretty sure that is the reason for dear kirby's sucess).
