The thread about the horse with a 1 speed got me thinking... (uh oh)
Is it me, or does anyone else notice that some horses seem more injury prone than others. By injury prone, I don't mean they necessarily come back "injury" often, but anything worse than "ready to go", really.
I was looking at the "my horses" link, and noticed that indeed there were horses that had less starts than most of the horses of the same age. Every one of them, i was reminded, seem to come back bad more often than most. As a matter of fact, my boy RECON SHOP is one of them. Every few races, he comes back worse than "ready to go".
Cripples are a part of real life racing, why not here?

Well, I think some horses are more "sensitive"..and some have really bad luck. I had a horse, injured 3 times in 11 starts. But coming home little groggy or needs rest is not unusual. Even Ten Lost Pyramids was in this situation at least twice in a year. And I have a stakes filly, who is always little groggy and I run her usually in 6 weeks regime. They are not cripples, they just need their rest and peace .
