Race history - Surprisingly this race has seemed to be one of the easiest to win. You would think we would have had better milers during the BBRS but out side of the filly Shoaib Akhtar winning speed figures have been 91,91,95.
One filly has won the race in 2007 Shoaib Akhtar won in a record time of 1:35 4/5 earning a 97 speed figure.
Far Beyond the Sun has been a regular here with a win in 2006, third in 2007 and fifth in 2008. I think he will be back for a 4th try at the race this year.

The first year of the Bargain Bowl I put out a call for donations and for those that donated I put their names on races. While I do not think that Kiaf has had a runner in the series, he made a nice donation and supports what the series is about. While I often times find myself disagreeing with him on the main board I have respect for him.
I had envisioned that at some point in the future these races would be renamed, that just has not happened yet.

Yes, King of Wariuz is definitely somewhere else than others. But congratulations also to the second place of Far Beyond the Sun. He catched amazing second breath!
