Summit of Speed time in North Florida. Entries are due by the end of this week.
Bargain Dash - 6f on the dirt for the boys Sugar and Spice - 6f on the dirt for the girls Everglades - 7f on the turf
also a couple of two year old allowances
7f on the dirt 7f on the turf
keep in mind it is an allowance so runners with a win under their belt will be most likely to get into the race. I made these races for 20 runners just in case we get a bunch of entries. So you can nominate your two year old maidens as well and they should draw into the races.

Who else is going to the Sugar and Spice? I decided to send Slave to Tradition although she will likely be up against it facing the older sprinters.

Back Road is in there and Sharp! She looks a little rough lately though, i'm not expecting much. Tough bunch of fillies in there! Good luck!

I've got Gypsy's Warning in there. She's a turf horse but the turf race is against boys and looks too strong. Even so, she's going to be a real longshot here.

Congrats to the bargain series winners: Volkstad in the Everglades (hawkz) Ballista in the Bargain Dash (knightmare) And to Hawkz again for the exacta in the Sugar & Spice (wow Wariuz Corp ran a massive 102!) I was way of in my article about Inuit but such is life. I was happy with Slave to Tradition's 3rd place showing and think she will continue to do well in the Bargain Races next out is the filly dirt longer race.
Also congrats to the winners of the 2 yr old alws Hawkz again (Rewa Dreamin) and (Nzed Pupil)
Wow hawkz your a force with the bargains for sure.

Well done guys!
I was very happy with the runs of both my entrants, Triumphal March and Gypsy's Warning. Triumphal March ran 6th, beaten 3 lengths while Gypsy's Warning ran a huge race on dirt, just getting run out of the places late to get 4th by 2 lengths.
Any else notice that the fillies dirt race was faster than the colts version?

Hawkz, you really know how to breed 'em! Congratulations to all the winners! I had 4 in, got a 2nd (Almost Scary), 3rd (Recon Shop), and 5th (Nice Keychain). I'll take it! I think BACK ROAD will be heading to the breeding shed soon. Thinking of sending her to Limit Out to keep with the (WV) bargain bred theme. Speaking of Limit Out, what happened to Inuit Legend? Injury?

Yeah hawkz - thanks for taking away Southern Secret's win in the two year old turf race. It was my only highlight in a day of bargain beatings. Oh well - maybe next time.

I am curious about a few Bargain race history questions: 1. Which horse has won the most bargain restricted races? 2. Which horse has won the most different type of races in the series? 3. What are considered the most impressive bargain horses/accomplishments?
Just trying to learn more about the history.

Boy you really want to put me to the test huh? You may have to give me a week or so for the exact numbers. I have all the info just not in one place. I was planning on adding a "Records" page to website at the end of this year.
In my opinion the most amazing bargain accomplishment in the series is Chance For Delta winning the Bargain Bowl Sprint for Fillies three straight years. She beat three or four other Bargain Bowl winners during that time so she was facing good competition. She had two other wins I believe and I think that her 5 wins is the most of any runner thus far but I will double check.
Shadowy Muff might have been one of the more versatile runners in the series. She won against the boys in sprints and competed well in routes with the ladies. She was never really the top of her division but a factor in multiple divisions.
I will have to look through everything to give you exact numbers here.

Wow Chance for Delta was some horse real nice one and 4-4 to start the career too. Heck who knows maybe she could have won a 4th Bargain Bowl Sprint for Fillies.
Standing Around looks to have been some horse as well. Won the DPCD sprint right after winning the Tale of Two Places Sprint in 05.
