The excitement should really start to build now. For the first time in BBRS history we have a runner take the first two legs of the Bargain Triple. Now our triple crown is different than the standard triple crown. It mirrors the Canadian triple running on both surfaces.
Shoeless Greek has now taken the first two legs with only the test of a champion left ahead of him. The 11f Bronx will be a history making event.
The Hunt Turf Cup had an awesome finish I cannot tell you how much it hurts to be 3/4 of a length behind the winner and have to settle for 4th!! Looks like we have some really competitive turf runners two of the top four finishers where girls, I am sure the colts wish they run against their own sex. Houndville added another BBRS win and Dagastan looked pretty sharp with the added distance.
Tin Buck Slew I accidentally put into the colt race and the little filly ran the best speed figure of the 2yr olds with a 65. Not bad plus it was a breeding from the Sire of the Week thread so pretty cool.

Very exciting races this week indeed, congrats to all the winners, and GO GREEK! I will be anticipating his Bronx run in 3 weeks! And how about your little filly Knight! S.C. Slew with some turf thrown in looks better and better all the time

Hey thanks for running your filly in the colt race as it allowed my Southern Secret to get her first win.

Slave To Tradition has really done me proud in the Bargain Series races thus far by taking the Oaks & Queens with powerful moves.
Going to target her next to The Bluebonnet for her first grass try (and against older too). Is a tough test but will be fun to see what happens.

I have to say even though I did not have any winners during the three year old races, I enjoyed this years races. The filly races had two pretty good runners last year and looks like another good one this year. Woftam Star kind of came out of nowhere. How about the Broadway sprint? I did win this race but in mid stretch I thought Ballista was done as Rugs to Roachs went by him but he surged again late. derbyfever.com/hr/jp/rlook.asp?lg=00001&raceid=39870413&league=00001

That was a great duel between Ballista and RTR. I really thought Rugs had it won but Ballista was determined in that race. I am curious about this one since I bred it but lost it to a claim. It did not run real well in the Broadway Sprint but it was asked to do alot on so few races and facing older. Any predictions on what kind of runner it will be? derbyfever.com/hr/runtime/prettyhorse.asp?hossnum=182371

Well I would look at high priced claimers $100,000 or more or 1x allowance races for three year olds only. I would look at dirt sprints. In a 1x an 89 speed figure puts you right in the mix. I would bring him along in those type races until Bargain Bowl.
Older sprint runners are just way too good at this point of the year for a three year old even in $2k claimers. I might also give him a run on the turf as well.
Hard to tell what kind of runner he will be at this point but he looks solid and capable of moving up and being a pretty good runner.

Agree with you 100%. I actually wish I still had him wouldn't have run him in the race he got smoked in for sure. May claim him back at some pt if given opportunity, was thinking he was safe in the 60k I put him in as didn't think someone would pay 120 bps for it...
