Another great year everyone. I will actually try to get out a wrap up type article to post in the BTB, probably do it over Christmas break from school in a couple of weeks. I will update all my stats and such to give accurate information.
Its probably pretty easy to determine the Bargie winners since we have a points based system but formal announcements will not take place till we kick off the 2011 bargain season on Bargie Day.
I normally take some time away from the sim this time of year, a little because of the holidays and family and a little just to recharge the batteries so I may not be real fast to respond to questions. I will still drop by the board and enter a few horses just not as often as normal.
During some of the down time I will be finalizing the 2011 Bargain Season, which I do not think will change much from the 2010 season. Still I like feedback and think evaluating schedules and races keeps the series fresh so feel free to talk about races, when they are scheduled possible additions. etc. Do that here or if you wish email me.
I would not mind adding more races to the schedule but I have to keep costs in mind. Each stakes race is 1500 credits for us, those with a bumped up purse can go to 2000, or 2500, or 3000 credits.
We had 29 stakes at 1500 a piece, 8 stakes at 2000, 3 at 2500
and 1 at 3000, then somewhere in the neighborhood off 20 Alw races at 800 a piece. I get a price break for the Bargain Bowl but the series contributes about $550 in races to the sim a year. We get some donations, and about 300-400 credits a week for the residency which equates out to about $150 a year.
Don't take this the wrong way or anything we are in no danger of going away or reducing, I love the sim and the series and we can maintain at the current level. If we decide to look at adding a few races, we may think of some ideas to raise some credits as well.
