I think I like this as the name of a BTB article. I am going to throw out a bargain sire. I want as many players as want to to comment on the sire. This is a test run could be a little late in the week to get this done but lets see what happens.
Talk about what you would like to talk about it is completely up to you here are a couple of things you may consider when talking about the sire.
Talk about Pedigree What Sire lines would you use Have you used him before, if so any luck? Any stats you would want to use real life or sim are good. Recommendations?
Email me the info, I will put together the article. If we get enough stuff I will post the article.
Lets start with bargain sire...Yonaguska

Maybe the begining of the article looks like this....
This weeks sire we will focus on will be Yonaguska. On the track Yonaguska was a good two year old winning the G1 Hopeful. He was a pretty solid three year old taking the G2 Hutcheson, G2 Fall Heighweight, and G3 Sport Page. He was a very salty sprinter who like many sprinters did ok stretching out as a two year old. He is off to a solid start as a sire based in Louisiana. He has been the top LA sire the past two seasons in real life so should draw some attention from those that are looking for LA breds.
Yonaguska is from the Blushing Groom sire line by Cherokee Run. His dam sire is by Silver Ghost out of the Mr. Prospector line while his dam’s dam sire is Buckaroo out of the Buckpasser line. His dosage index is 4.14.
His best off spring so far has been Musket Man who made a splash with top three year olds this year. Musket Man won the Illinois and Tampa Bay Derby before going on to finish third in the Kentucky Derby and Preakness.
He has one stakes winner in the sim, and he was a two year old stakes winner. That runner was Bargain Bred and did compete in the BBRS running third in the Bargain Derby. His dam sire was Cahil Road which like Musket Man had a four by four inbreeding to Mr. Prospector.
then you guys take it from there. let me know though if we should add anything to the above stuff.

You might want to add that Musket Man is inbred 3m x 3m to Mr Prospector (Silver Ghost x Northern Prospect).
Possibly also mention that Musket Man's dam carries the Mr Prospector x Northern Dancer cross and is inbred 4f x 3m to Northern Dancer (Sleek Dancer x Dixieland Band).

I saw that Yonaguska's sire Cherokee Run was recently pensioned due to declining fertility he was a good underrated sire.
My strategy for breeding to Yonaguska would be to pair him based off of nicks to his successful real life runners. Musket Man is Yonaguska X Fortunate Prospect X Dixieland Band so to mimic this nick I'd prob use the same DS or other Mr. P son blood and then throw on a son of Northern Dancer that fit the price.
His 2nd most successful runner is Dehere X Taufan (son of Stop The Music) so I would probably try to use a son of Deputy Minister (best one I could find and fit a bargain) X a son of a son of Hail To Reason (starting to sound like a Jimmy Buffet song here)

Never tried him. Looks to be a nice state bred option, at least. Since his progeny are already covered, i'll try digging a little deeper. Lots of stuff in there to work with! How about Selene. She's already in his dam's pedigree through Sickle and Pharamond. Hyperion is missing. Danzig, Nureyev, and Trempolino all look like they would go good to me for DS. They all have Hyperion crosses. Shoot, throw Mr. P himself on the end, and you have it all! There's alot you could do bargain wise, too. Blushing Groom inbreds/linebreds seem to be hot, and Blushing Groom crosses good with Fappiano. His pedigree is just begging for Northern Dancer, and Roberto might be a good idea, too. Just another partially informed opinion.

Nice to see this published I think people liked it. What sires you have in mind for a follow-up? Perhaps Mutakddim or Petionville

I like both of those sires. Good to see about 90 views of the article thus far. I did not see if anyone bred to him this week.
