The dirt division of 2yr olds also got a stakes race this year. It was supposed to be named the Ginger Ale, however I cannot spell so the race was listed as the Giner Ale Stakes. ;D
Rewa Dreamin scored a length and three quarters win over Textbook Case who was 4 lengths clear of third place Nzed Halo.
These are similar comments here on the race distance. I think in the future I want to move this back to a route race. It will be run at 7f this year. Any comments are welcome on the race.

A little race history. Fillies have won every running of this race. Thats right as two year olds on the dirt bargain fillies have dominated their colt counter parts in this race. In 2007 the fillies held four of the top five placings in this race.
The race record time is shared by two runners.
2006 Rhapsodes and 2008 Inuit Legend both ran the seven furlongs in 1:24 1/5, for an 83 speed figure.
The average winner at 7f has won with roughly an 82 speed figure.

I'm hoping Textbook Case can end that streak of fillies as he went pretty good gets out in front and the 7f should help him vs. the 8f. We shall see since that lady streak is pretty long running.

Golden Mogok and Lecture Robin are both sharp for this one. It's a bit of a stretch to see either of them in with a winning chance but Lecture Robin could possibly sneak into the money, depending on how he likes the shorter trip.
