Cougar Bite Classic 10f on the turf.
Older horses have three races that qualify in this division and talk about wide freakin' open. wow. The Hunt Turf Cup, Arc de Maleve, and Wombat Cup.
129211 Ten Lost Pyramids 10 109933 Houndville 10 10980 Yellow Giallo 10 135494 Lot at Steak - F 8 139167 Flying Perfect - F 6 34428 Celestial Key F 6 168266 Dagastan 4 150377 Daisy Darling - F 4 130156 Shado Knight 4 130192 WonnabyMarooned 2 126577 Brigerand - F 2 160373 Housefullofghosts 1 133091 Craig Stadler 1 10699 Spookus Spookum 1
Ten Lost Pyramids has his eyes on Bargain History, should make for a very interesting race.
Race History Ten Lost Pyramids has won back to back Cougar Bite Classics, and based on his Arc race a few weeks ago he seems primed to make a good run at winning the race three years in a row.
Despite his back to back wins Ten Lost Pyramids does not hold the stakes record. That distinction belongs to Gallic Charm who in 2006 completed the 10f in 2:02 1/5 earning a 101 speed figure.
Pepe's Pipes used the first running of this race as a launching pad to a G1 win.
Clearance Clarence has hit the board in the 1st four runnings of the race, not too sure he will make a fifth appearance.
Outside of Gallic Charm's 101 winners usually run a mid 90's speed figure some where around 95-97

That is funny. I have all three leaders in my stable and just Ten Lost Pyramids is going to participate this race. But I don't think this will change drama in this race.

Please nominate to this race:
RECON SHOP
Breeding says he can get the distance, should be ready to fire... probably still in over his head.

Worried about weather forecast. In the case of off-track, Houndville can win Kaif Mile, but Ten Lost Pyramids doesn't really like it... :/

sounds like a little gamesmanship to me ;D
He has a win and two thirds on off surfaces one of those thirds he earned a 101 speed fig so I am not sure an off surface will hurt him too bad. Then again it has been two years since he has seen an off surface.
I think it might hurt Lot at Steak and Recon Shop a little more.
Should be a great race no matter the surface condition but I am hoping it turns up fast and firm.

Well, I know that..but it was in his best form in 4yrs...and in stakes race on the wet track, he was always far from the winner, showing no strong progress in last furlongs (comparing with races on the fast track). And now..he is 6 and in worse form than in his 4. I don't say, he doesn't have chance to win if the surface will be off, I just say he doesn't like it...and you recognize when your horse doesn't like it. And second thing I said...watch Houndville if the track will be off. Nothing more . I believe, this is not gamesmanship...I'm just taking this race more serious than I should, probably - but why not? In the beginning of 2007..I had first stakes runner in sim (Ten Lost Pyramids)..then somebody told me..try Knightmare's bargain racing, it could be something for him..and I tried..and then I had first stakes win in sim (Ten Lost Pyramids) and I realized there is breeders cup for bargains...that Cougar Bite Classic could be something for him. And he won that race for me...and last year he did it again and now it is 2009 and he has a chance to win for a third time..who did that in BB (just Chance for Delta, I think)? So, if he can win..this sim season will be great, if he won't..this sim season sucks..no matter what other horses do. So, this is not gamesmanship, I'm just taking this race too serious and I wish the best conditions for my horse .

I know you didn't mean that like offense . I will be very nervous. Actually, I've been nervous for whole season (I was hoping in no injuries, good form etc.). On saturday, I'm sure, I'll have it in my head for a whole day. It is crazy. Anyway, good luck to all of you in all bargain races... (and may the track be fast and firm! ).

You guys are getting all excited over nothing because RECON SHOP is going to run the race of his life, having the extra distance i've been holding him back from, and run a 110 or so winning by daylight. All that, and he didn't even come up sharp! Do I look scared? > Just kidding! I'm looking forward to any chump change my steeds can manage to steal. Definitely the highlight of the year!
