There used to be a great tool online for searching sires by their breeding, but I can't remember the address. You could put in SECRETARIAT for instance, and it would bring up A P Indy and Storm Cat and all the other sires that he is the DS of.
Yoss had the breeding tool, but I had a hard drive crash and lost it. It did the same thing pretty much, plus more.
Does anyone know of any current tools like this, or are these older ones still available?

I love this tool. I had been breeding for a while without, just sort of stumbling upon information. Then some fellow residency members in Blazing Saddles posted this for me, and it has been an incredible tool.

Guys, there's a real life software package currently available for free download, with free updates every couple of months. It's called G1 Goldmine and is available at www.g1goldmine.com/. Sign up for the trial version, then use the registration code 'white' when you run the program to get access to the complete version. It's fully legal, so no worries there. The company initially ran it as a trial where only g2/3 winners were shown but recently released the password to give full access. It's a great tool to see what group/graded winners sires have produced, to see preferred surfaces and distances, to see any sex bias, and to see what combinations work well. Of course the real life figures don't necessarily translate into sim success. The software doesn't tell you how many foals a sire has had though.
