Congrats david! I have not put a colt in any of the triple races and have had no luck in any of the big turf races.
Good luck with him.

Awesome! Good to see something other than the normal top notch breeding in there.
Good luck!

Could have waited. Well beaten 12th place. Showed no kick at all today. Oh well.
Jammin' In Seattle, who I mentioned in my first post in this thread, did finish 3rd in a Gr 1 though.

Here is a sire I have used a couple of times with some, not great, success. Of course, it was using my strategy of using better DS/DDS combo's and not going the total bargain breeding way. Orage NoirBoss NoirColony Noir...just won today by 4 lengths, posting a 93 SP over 12 furlongs He's only available to breed 3yo's but at these distances I don't see the sense in breeding a 2yo by him anyway. And I just used the 3yo breeding for this week, pairing him with Ela-Mana-Mou x Pleasant Colony. Hoping the DS/DDS combo can repeat the success of Polyamorous.

Here is another of my horses by a sire you've probably never heard of. He only has 5 runners in the sim and mine is the only winner. I don't know how good she will be in the long run she is doing ok so far. New Shoes

wow she is really running sharp speed figures right now. I have to admit being Texan it would be very difficult to use a sire with "Oklahoma" in the name It is the sports rivalry thing, and trash talk that goes along with that between myself and friends. Oklahoma had no business in the National Championship game last year. No I cannot let it go.

LOL!
Morgan I hate UT with a passion....but not because I live in OK. It's because I graduated from Texas Tech. UT and A&M are by far the 2 schools we love to hate. I root for the Aggies one game a year - whenever they play UT. That should tell you how many times I root for UT.
As good a season as the Red Raiders had last year, I honestly don't know which felt better....the overall season or spoiling UT's national championship hopes.

Apparently you have found out about crossing sons of Hail To Reason and Mr. P. This was one of the first breeding tips I got from knightmare and have tried it numerous times.
Some nice looking runners there, especially the last 2. I may have to give Southern Halo a try.

Definitely some nice little runners. I like to use cheaper sires with solid dam sires. In real life the female family really seems to be a key factor in breeding so I take that approach here although the sim seems to reward any type of bargain breeding equally.
I use a lot of Texas based sires so there are quite a few that are 20 points or less. I have active runners now on the series with sires like Desert Darby, Menhal, Serrazo, and Medieval Rival. I had two very salty bargains by Manzotti and Star Programmer that fit that same mold.
Valid Expectations has been the top Texas sire for several years now and I have used him 7 times. I have bargain bred him and bred him to nice sires but only managed one winner and she was a maiden claiming winner only getting that one win in her career.
I am a big fan of the Mr. P / Hail to Reason cross. Seattle Slew / In Reality is one I like quite a bit as well.

I think I am going to try another dam sire X dam's dam sire combo with a few runners.
Sunny's Halo X Knightly Manner. The pairing will cost roughly 70 points on at the end of the week, so if you are bargain breeding you will need to look for a sire less than 30 points.
Sunny's Halo crosses well with Round Table line sires. This pedigree will have a good deal of stamina and I think getting a turf runner from this combo could be pretty possible. While Sunny's Halo is not heavy on turf he can produce turf runners and Knightly Manner was a turf stakes winner plus he stood in England and Australia.

I like Slew City Slew on that combo! Wouldn't make bargain territory this week, though. Good luck!

derbyfever.com/hr/runtime/prettyhorse.asp?hossnum=140724 Oh man you got my dream horse david! That effervescing horse is awesome! I see you went with the inbreeding with Bon Mot at DDS. If he ever sets foot in a claiming race let me know. I would he mare him just because he deserves it (when time is right). Finger Painting has Fast Play in there. I like Fast Play. I know this is crazy but I actually own a Smart Strike x Fast Play LOL. Hey I think its a cool combo! The horse is pretty fast though not stakes horse yet. It is 3. That makes me think we should have a blueblood x Bargain sire x Bargain sire race once a year! My reasoning is simple. Rarely does anyone breed a top sire to bargains. It sucks because all the bluebloods in the sim are practically regally bred! It would encourage the more creative breeds, and diversify the pool. Sorry, Fast Play got me side tracked lol. Anyways, it is funny how us bargain breeding addicts like a lot of the same sires. I am looking at david's runners now and I see the Favelon horse has Jugah as DDS. I like Jugah. Also Favelon is sired by Alannon that can be good in breeds if cheap. I haven't used him yet, but have wanted to. That is awesome that Finger Painting drew into the Middle Jewel Stakes. Congrats. He struggled, but hey he was in. I see knightmare has a runner with Plugged Nickle as the DDS. I have one with Plugged Nickle, but I think mine sucked. I would use him again though. derbyfever.com/hr/runtime/prettyhorse.asp?hossnum=177449 that horse is bargain bred. I got papers somewhere I believe. Hopefully it keeps running well. He is Decanter x World Watch x Cornish Prince. I don't have anything in your guys league yet, but I am getting some promising runners and solid bargains. The Sain't It Ain't So bargain is my best shot at bargain bliss probably.
